The Garden Season may be Over, but the FUN is Never DONE!

Do you miss the gardens already?  Yeah, we do too…but we’re still buzzin’ around town with events, workshops and working to plan a successful 2016 season!  Let us all stay motivated to grow our gardens!  Here are ways for you and your family or friends to play a part in garden growth or to simply celebrate:

Holiday Party, Mosaic has teamed up with ArtFusion19464

Please join us on Friday, December 11 from 6-8 PM for our annual holiday party.  This year, we have teamed up with ArtFusion19464 (located at 254 E. High Street) to celebrate our great past and our blooming future!  Learn what ArtFusion19464 is all about and see the conceptual design of their new location!  Celebrate Mosaic’s past growing season and find out more about the affordable housing initiative!  Our holiday party is absolutely free!  Please RSVP via email at info@artfusion19464.org or by calling 610-326-2506 if you plan to attend.  We look forward to celebrating with you!

Holiday Tree Sales at Pine Hill

Pine Hill Tree Farm, a local tree grower, has committed to donating $10 for each tree purchased by Mosaic Community Land Trust supporters.  The tree donations cards will hit the stores around Pottstown along with social media sites and Mosaic’s website by the end of next week!  Electronic versions of the card will be sent out via email and other avenues.  Pine Hill Tree Farm has been in the tree business for many years and has many varieties and sizes to offer.  Please consider purchasing your tree at their location in support of local tree grower and “your favorite local non-profit”!

Call for Board Members

Mosaic is looking to grow its board membership in 2016.  Are you interested in helping our community flourish?  Please keep an eye open for an official solicitation letter and/or email.  You can also visit our website for more information www.mosaicclt.org.

Call for Garden Committee Members

Mosaic provides more programs, events and gardening opportunities than ever before!  We could sure use your help!  Please use Facebook, Twitter, email or a simple telephone call to find out more about joining our garden committee.  However, if joining a committee doesn’t work for you but you would like to volunteer throughout the growing season, please consider becoming a garden ambassador!  Garden ambassadors who volunteer during 6 or more events or garden days will receive a beautiful Mosaic canvas tote along with an “Ambassador” apron!

Garden Contest 2016

Be on the lookout for more information about the 2016 garden contest!  The contest just keeps growing!  In the works are two contest this year!  One open to all residents (renters or homeowners alike) living in the Borough of Pottstown and one open to all residents living in the Borough of Boyertown!  There will be a garden contest website, Facebook page and a forum for folks to reach out for advice, information and other support.  Thanks to the help and support of the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation, the contest has taken root and is thriving!  More information to come in January!

Garden Location

We are looking for you to let us know where you would like to see the next garden crop up!  Mosaic is looking to collaborate with a local school, church or other organization who is interesting in popping in a community garden at their location.  Please contact Mosaic with your interest or recommendation via our “contact us” page on our site at www.mosaicclt.org.

Canning Class Coming Up!

Another “Canning Basics2” workshop is in the works!  Lookout for a separate communication regarding the details of the class.

We hope to see you throughout the winter…how can you resist?!  But if we don’t…

Mosaic hopes that you and your family have a safe and happy winter season!
