Volunteers are the heart of our garden!

Have you ever heard the term Permaculture and wondered what it means? Come join our small but intrepid band of Permaculture enthusiasts who care for this valuable community green space on a monthly basis.

The Permaculture Garden is open to all. Nearly every plant in the garden is edible and most are native to Pennsylvania. Permaculture gardens are designed ecosystems that work with nature to create sustainable, self-maintaining, and productive landscapes, and that is what we are working hard to create, but these kinds of ecosystems take work to maintain. We are looking for volunteers to regularly help groom and maintain this unique garden.

If you have an interest, please come to our next work session to help and learn more. May 27th, from 5-7 pm. Bring work gloves, water, and a can-do attitude and we guarantee you will have a great time, make new friends, and leave knowing you have made OUR community a better place!
