Plan Your Garden Workshop

February 26th, 7:00 pm – Location: Pottstown Integrated Wellness Complex, 724 N Adams St, Second floor meeting room

Join us for a fun and interactive workshop at The Complex by Achin’ Back Garden Center’s Kelli Yeager. Kelli will instruct us in mixing flowers, vegetables and herbs together in our garden beds, a hot topic in gardening circles. We will also discuss companion planting, pest control, soil health, maximizing space, and aesthetics when mixing types of planting. 

About the instructor: Kelli Yeager has been working in her family business in Limerick, Achin’ Back Garden Center, for over 20 years.  She grew up in a plant-focused home, learning to care for plants at a young age and helping in her father’s landscaping business.  In 2003, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a dual degree in Sports Management and Exercise Science.  At the same time, her parents, Randy and Saranae Kurtz, were opening the garden center. Little did she know, this would be her future career as her parents presented the opportunity to work in the business to her.  She took over in a management role in 2007, as Saranae returned to her nursing career.  Kelli is now a self-taught florist and has been teaching classes and running the garden center for almost 20 years. She married into a farming family and now lives in Phoenixville on a Christmas tree farm with her husband and 3 children.
