The house at 9 E 2nd Street has been given new life—and now it’s ready to help a family build theirs
A newly renovated house at 9 E 2nd Street in Pottstown is ready to welcome a family looking for stability, affordability, and a place to call their own. Mosaic Community Land Trust (CLT) is behind this project, using our innovative model of homeownership to ensure affordability now and for generations to come.
Mosaic CLT took on this property when it was in need of major repairs. Today, the home features 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a new kitchen, flooring, updated HVAC and plumbing, and off-street parking. Thanks to community partnerships and funding, it is fully renovated and ready for a new homeowner.
The project began under our former Executive Director, Andrew Reid, a Mont Clare resident with over 30 years of experience in community development. His efforts over the past 22 months have been instrumental in bringing the project along. The Board of Directors, along with Interim Executive Director, Tracy Purdy, is bringing the project to completion.
For families who thought homeownership was out of reach, this is an opportunity to learn how the CLT model makes it achievable. Interested in knowing more?
