Held during the summer months, Mosaic’s Kids’ Club takes a creative and fun approach to healthy living, nutrition, science, math, and gardening!
One of the most important aspects of Mosaic’s work is our summer childrens programming both in our gardens and through our community partners. Childhood obesity rates have been climbing steadily in the United States, and Pottstown is no exception. Mosaic strives to educate young people in matters of healthy eating and active lifestyles, as well as the physical and psychological benefits of gardening and growing food.
Our main tool for this is the Mosaic Kids Club, a six-week program which takes place at each of our community gardens in June and July. The program is for children between 4-12 years, and involves hands-on learning in environmental science, nutrition, exercise, and gardening, creating unforgettable experiences and allowing the children to make friends while learning in nature.
