The garden is in its final days of clean up for this year. We will be preparing for the next growing season and have to get the garden prepped and ready to grow!
PLEASE NOTE, it is the gardeners responsibility to clean out his/or her plot for the season. Please clean out your plot not later than FRIDAY, November 8, 2013 by 6:00 PM.
If it is your plan to grow into the colder months, please sent me an email no later than the date mentioned above to let me know. Otherwise, your plot will be cleared and prepped for next year’s growing season.
I just want to say, it’s been a great year for gardening and I can’t complain…the garden has brought people together from all walks of the world, provided many with nutrient-dense, wholesome foods and has helped the residents of Pottstown learn more about being outdoors and active! Not bad…next year we’ll have 20 more plots and many more members. Hooray!
Let’s all give thanks to the MOSAIC Community Gardens…for the joy, laughter and goodies it brings!
See ya’ at the gardens (maybe this week, definitely by next Spring),

The MOSAIC family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the volunteers from The Hill School, the Borough of Pottstown and the Pottstown School District for the great accomplishments achieved during the Pottstown CARES Community Cleanup event!
Pottstown CARES provided an avenue for more than 70 volunteers to lend themselves to the community garden. The amount of time volunteers spent in and around he garden translates to hundreds of volunteer hours! A great deal of fellowship, teamwork and perseverance was encouraged and cultivated that day.
The CARES initiative made the dream of an organized compost pile, cold frame gardening and a beautifully decorated bench a community garden reality. In addition, the streets and alleyways surrounding the garden were cleaned, swept and manicured by CARES volunteers. The end result was based on a day of sheer determination by the entire team; a team with a goal to have an unprecedented impact in the downtown area.
The volunteers of Pottstown CARES embody what today’s partnerships should look like, a team of people working together for the sake of the entire Community, creating avenues that support Awareness, committing to a lifestyle of social and environmental Responsibility, Empowering those who need it most and reaching to achieve the highest level of Sustainability.
Again, we thank you for your relentless efforts in making downtown Pottstown a beautiful place to work, live, play and grow!

Tomorrow is project CARES (Community, Awareness, Responsibility, Empowerment, and Sustainability) Day all over town! The Hill School has teamed up with the Borough of Pottstown and the Pottstown School District to demonstrate their care for our neighborhoods in several ways. The clean-up initiative begins at 9:30 AM all over town!
A team of volunteers have been assigned to our MOSAIC Community Gardens to build a beautiful bench (donated by the Hill School) and to construct/turn our compost bins!

All you have to do is meet us at the garden at 9:30 AM sharp, be dressed warm and ready to dig in!
Please Note, if you no longer wish to grow or tend to your plot this season – it is YOUR responsibility to clear out your plot and turn the dirt! – YOU owe it to your plot for all of the great produce it’s provided all season!
