Hello Mosaic Gardeners!
Due to the predicted heavy rains Friday and Saturday, we are going to try to squeeze all of our planting into the morning hours Saturday when it is predicted we may have a short reprieve in the rain. All three of the community gardens will be open and there will be someone there to assist with anything you need from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. If that time does not suit you, please contact Daniel Price to set up another time to head over and plant your plot. His number is (610)420-6082.
See you in the gardens!
Opening garden days for both gardens on Chestnut and the garden at Barth will be this week! Staff from Mosaic will be at all three gardens to guide and assist you with planting and to show you around the garden if you are new to Mosaic this year. The hours will be Friday, May 5th from 4:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, May 6th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be some plants and seeds available for use, but please feel free to bring your own varieties, as well!
If those days and times are difficult for you, please arrange with Daniel Price, our new Gardens Manager, to do your introductory visit to your garden at another time. His number is (610)420-6082. If you are a seasoned Mosaic member, you are welcome to begin planting anytime after you send in your application.
There are plots still available at all three gardens, please contact Daniel or see the “I’d like to Join!” tab on our website, mosaicclt.org for community garden packets and information on how to lease a plot for the season.
See you in the gardens!
Interested in adding a butterfly garden to your landscape? It’s a wonderful addition to any yard, and helps in butterfly migration, but must be done with care. Join Mosaic for a free community workshop on attracting butterflies to your garden and creating a habitat that has everything these beautiful creatures need to thrive!
This workshop is being taught by famed local butterfly expert Ron Richael on April 29th at ArtFusion, 254 E. High Street, Pottstown. The workshop will begin at 6:30. The workshop is free, and would be great for families, school or community groups, or individuals, but you must register by e-mail to email@example.com or by calling (610)287-7828. Please register by April 27th, 5:00 pm.

Meet Daniel Price! This week, Mosaic Community Land Trust welcomes the newest member of our team. Daniel was born and raised in Pottstown, and is back to build our community after working in several capacities for the West Chester Business Improvement District. He is a graduate of Pottsgrove High School and has a B.S in Elementary Education from Kutztown University, and brings with him a wealth of farming, organizing, and community development experience to his new responsibilities with Mosaic. He has some big (Laura-sized) shoes to fill, but we know he will be a terrific addition to our organization and a valuable asset in our community!
Welcome to Mosaic, Daniel!
